About Percy Chattey
A Writer and Author
GREAT NEWS. Percy is a 4 TIMES WINNER: Percy W Chattey has again won the Pinnacle Book Achievement Awards in the Best Autobiography and Best Thriller Categories... (never been achieved before)
It was in 1975 that Percy, with his wife Jean and two girls Anne and Sue, moved to the West Country from their native East London, where he was born within the sound of Bow Bells which makes him a true cockney with the cockney´s sense of humour.
After leaving the army, where he spent two years in Kenya, Percy has had a variety of occupations but mainly working for himself with the total support of Jean.
In the early sixties they formed a car hire company in Ilford in East London, twelve years later moving to the West Country and living near Bath, where he formed a very successful architectural design practice, whilst Jean returned to Lloyds Bank where she had started work in their Romford branch after leaving school.
Never lost for words...
Percy has always had an interest in writing and has contributed to magazines, he is also working on other books which he hopes will be published shortly. He says his hobbies are drinking, boozing and pub crawling but that is just his London sense of humour.
A place in the sun...
Jean and he are retired and live in a beautiful valley in the mountains of the Costa Blanca, Spain. They own and run a 5 bedroom holiday home, Casa FuenteLargo, Hondon Villa, which is let out to holiday makers whilst they live nearby. The maintenance of the house keeps them very busy but Percy still finds time to write.
